> From: naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca<mailto:naturens-owner@chebucto.ns.ca> [mailto:naturens-own The Morgan Falls fish ladder --and the one at nearby Indian Falls on the North Branch LaHave River-- is somewhat unique in that it enables Atlantic salmon and other anadromous fish species to travel past a natural obstruction in the river, a smaller version of Niagara Falls. Therefore these species can occupy many km of river habitat upstream of the obstruction, which had been inaccessible to them before the fish ladder was constructed. Does anyone know how healthy the local salmon run in the LaHave is these days? Dusan Soudek
