Not many have = stayed on our menu. One that is very healthy and good is violets. We = put the leaves and flowers in salads every spring. We also love = chenopodium album. It freezes better than =E2=80=9Ctame=E2=80=9D = spinach. When we lived in Pennsylvania, we enjoyed poke shoots = (phytolacca americana). Also, wild persimmon. Thinking about knotweed = made me go and find my old copy of Euell Gibbons=E2=80=99 = =E2=80=9CStalking the Wild Asparagus=E2=80=9D. I should have looked = before I wrote in. Knotweed is in there! This is not uncommon with 'edible' wild plants, e.g. marsh greens I = tried once were awful.
