Hi all
I spent a couple of hours this afternoon in the Maple Lake area near =
Bridgeville in Pictou Co. I was looking for butterflies and was slightly =
rewarded with my first fro NS this spring- a Mourning Cloak which did =
not stay still long enough for an atlas photo. In the area were 5-6 =
singing Palm Warblers and Mayflowers in bloom. Along the road in were an =
Eastern Phoebe, 3 Flickers, YB Sapsucker and Ruby-crowned Kinglets. In =
a small ditch pond there was a pair of Mallards- not a common nesting =
bird in Pictou Co. yet so I was surprised to see them in this location.=20

cheers
Ken
