Index of Subjects Five birds today at Sunken Lake, very close to the trail to Little River Falls aka Old Nictaux Road. Last Saturday, January 28th, four of us saw 6-7 birds near the S end of Corkum & Burns Rd, Black River, 2 km away as the grosbeak flies. There are now only 4 more boreal forest species that I will work on over the next 25 days. I invite everyone else to report them first. They are Golden-crowned Kinglet, Gray Jay, White-winged Crossbill & Spruce Grouse (lol). Given where I've been over the past 4 days, the absence of Kinglets is surprising. Rick Whitman
