Index of Subjects It was a warm sunny morning and I went over to Port George on the way to Middleton this morning. Tide was high. Not many birds, but there was definitely a wintry feel to what I saw - Common Eider 4 White-winged Scoter 1 Long-tailed Duck 2 Red-throated Loon 12 all winter plumage Common Loon 1 Red-necked Grebe 2 Herring Gull 25 Great Black-backed Gull 1 American Crow 2 No Harlequins or Purple sandpipers yet. Also there was a huge bull Gray seal - in fact it looked like a Walrus or Elephant seal in some ways - I'll post some photos tonight, surrounded by smaller (?F) seals.
