Hi all, a few new sightings on Tucker Lake Beaverbank the last week or so. A dozen Canada Geese, Ring Neck ducks, haven't seen any Wood Ducks since last Tuesday. Still Black Ducks and Mallards coming to the ground around the feeders along with 12 Mourning Doves and 1 junco. Also, 1 Muskrat, Hairy and Downy Woodpeckers, American Goldfinches appear to have moved into the area the last few days, still W.B Nuthatches at the feeders, Blue Jays mimicking Osprey's and Broad WIng Hawks. 1 Song Sparrow chasing another one around the yard...I'm guesing it is defending it's territory around the feeders. 1 Pied Billed Grebe on nearby Hamilton Lake, a few Dragonflies, signs of Pileated W.P., possibly Black Back W.P, and lots of R.B. Nuthatches in the woods but not coming to feeders for whatever reason. Nice day to be in the woods, and around the water, Gary Murray Tucker Lake Beaverbank NS
