I spent a little time looking at the Canada Goose flock at Curries =
Corner, Windsor between 12:30 and 1pm. I couldn't stay longer as I =
literally froze - you need full winter gear and especially gloves if you =
have a scope to operate. ( I Didn't have gloves or a heavy jacket).
The geese were the closest to the road they have been all week - it =
would have made great photography except that neither the Snow Goose nor =
the Pink-footed were present. The flock was about 400-500 birds or =
roughly half what we have seen other days.

A couple of local people stopped to talk. They tell me that this field =
is a normal hang out for very large numbers of geese as it is within the =
town boundaries and no-one will disturb them there. They appear to =
prefer this location rather than the extensive corn fields in Falmouth =
where there would be better food available. They also said that many of =
them roost overnight in the sewage ponds, also because they are safe =
there.
