One of the cubs almost fell off the tree, as it descended incredibly = fast, while the other was a bit more tardy. We never did see their = mother, likely obscured by the cattails. Why do bear cubs climb trees, = aside from being "treed" by a dog or another potential predator? A form = of play perhaps? Could they be picking seeds from the cones?=20 Dusan S. P.S.
