I couldn't get a good enough view for identification, but the bodies were at least 3 to 4" tall. Mackerel ? This is the first time I have ever seen this in the harbour. -- Rick Ballard Dartmouth,Nova Scotia, Canada http://www.ideaphore.com ---2114655128-290035045-1317225468=:7146 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Sounds like mackerel to me.<br />Perhaps something was chasing them from below.<br />We used to see that home on PEI when the Tuna were around.<br />Bluefish also like mackerel.<br />Have a nice day<br />Paul<br><div style="font-family: times new roman, new york, times, serif; font-size: 12pt;"><div style="font-family: times new roman, new york, times, serif; font-size: 12pt;"><font size="2" face="Arial"><hr size="1"><b><span style="font-weight:bold;">From:</span></b> Rick Ballard <ideaphore@gmail.com><br><b><span style="font-weight: bold;">To:</span></b> NatureNS <naturens@chebucto.ns.ca><br><b><span style="font-weight: bold;">Sent:</span></b> Wednesday, September 28, 2011 9:08:16 AM<br><b><span style="font-weight: bold;">Subject:</span></b> [NatureNS] Halifax Harbour Fish Boiling<br></font><br><meta http-equiv="x-dns-prefetch-control" content="off"><div id=yiv424295118>On my morning Halifax Harbour ferry trip today I saw two areas with dozens of fish breaking the water.
