Index of Subjects They are brass bells that you can buy and attach to a backpack, or your belt loop, or whatever...they jingle, with the hopes of giving the bear a heads up that something "different" is around, and the bear will leave the area you're in...I bought mine at the Masstown Market a few years ago...I think they were around $10 each.
