I noted in a Wolfville book store that Jeffrey Glassberg (who wrote "Butterflies through Binoculars..the East {1999}), has a new book out entitled "The Butterflies of North America". I have the previous one and find that because the photos are somewhat small, certain species are more difficult to identify. This new book does address that problem in that the photos are large & are a treat to look at. As in the 1999 book, Glassberg shows little knowledge of range extensions in the Maritimes so the range of certain species are drawn well S. of us. This is not a problem as there is a checklist of NS butterflies (thanks to the Payzants). At $14.95 , Glassburg's newest effort is a steal!! Angus
