--001517478582cc206804a5e7d6b3 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 I've been birding near River Rd near Terence Bay the past few mornings. I haven't come across anything particularly uncommon, but have heard several (3 in a smallish area) Lincoln's Sparrows in the area around the green arrow on the map below (in a barren-like area with low brush). I don't come across them a whole lot, but perhaps they are locally common in these barren-type areas near the coast. These barren/open areas a great place to listen for birds, as sound travels pretty far there on a calm day. I'm there searching for Hermit Thrush, and they really seem to like the edges of these areas--I assume because they are ideal for sound transmission. http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=44.507%C2%B0N+63.719%C2%B0W&aq=&sll=49.891235,-97.15369&sspn=36.581885,88.505859&ie=UTF8&ll=44.508289,-63.720875&spn=0.019679,0.043216&t=h&z=15 -- Jeff MacLeod Brookside, NS --001517478582cc206804a5e7d6b3 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I've been birding near River Rd near Terence Bay the past few mornings.= I haven't come across anything particularly uncommon, but have heard s= everal (3 in a smallish area) Lincoln's Sparrows in the area around the= green arrow on the map below (in a barren-like area with low brush).
