On Sunday night (June5) I arrived at =0A= 8:40. It was raining a little at the time and I had not realized it had sta= rted =0Ato rain. I met Nelson and Pat Poirier there who had arrived about 8= :10. There =0Awere quite a few swifts when they arrived and about 8:15 a Me= rlin made a pass =0Aand scattered them all. They reassembled and most=A0wen= t in before I arrived =0Aat 8:40. The Poiriers did not count, but there wer= e hindreds. A few entered as =0Awell between my arrival at 8:40 till I left= at 9:10 or so. =0A=A0=0ALast night ( June 6 was more of a typical =0Anight= . It had rained a bit in the evening, but was not when I arrived early =0A(= 8:10)=A0because of the previous night. This was the last of the spring =0AS= wiftwatch nights and I wanted to get as accurate a count as possible. =A0A = =0Afew swifts appeared after I arrived, but it was 8:46 before one entered.= The =0Amajorith piles in between 8:56-8:57 but there were stragglerrs to 9= :14. My total =0Afor the nihgt was 515. A very fine show indeed. There were= no other observers =0Aalthough someone pulled in at 9:00 and only saw a co= uple of swifts.
