I have been spending some time in Coal Creek, NB at my mother's house. Great birding spot at the northeast end of Grand Lake between Salmon River and Coal Creek Stream. Yard and feeder birds: Ruby Throated Hummingbirds Grackles Blue Jays Chickadees American Goldfinch Purple Finch Rose-breasted Grosbeaks Evening Grosbeaks Baltimore Orioles* Mourning Doves Red-winged Blackbirds Crows White-crowned Sparrows Song Sparrows Brown-headed Cowbirds American Woodcock Hairy Woodpeckers Red-breasted Nuthatches White-breasted Nuthatches American Robins Fox Sparrow Other Sparrows :) In the woods close by: Grey Jays Yellow Bellied Sapsucker Ruffed Grouse Barred Owl Warblers - heard more often than seen In the fields and around the ponds and lake Canada Geese Mallad/Black Ducks Belted Kingfisher *The Baltimore Orioles (pair) were here all day on Sunday. Beavers, painted turtles, peepers, wood frog, pickerel frogs, bull frogs, grey squirrels, chipmunks, red squirrels, Little Brown Bats.
