--=====================_335903906==.ALT Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Forwarded from NatureNB: (Note - the weekly advisories were not offered=20 the previous two weeks, which accounts for their absence on NatureNS) ** THIS WEEK'S SKY AT A GLANCE During these spring evenings the BIG DIPPER=20 [Grand Ours] turns over as if to dump spring=20 rains on the world. Look for the Dipper very high=20 in the northeast as the stars come out. On Tuesday, May 10, the MOON [Lune] will go into=20 its First-quarter Phase meaning it will rise at noon and set at midnight. On Saturday, May 7, SUNRISE [lever de soleil] was=20 at 6:03 a.m. with SUNSET [coucher de soleil] at=20 20:36. On Saturday, May 14, sunrise will be at 5:54 a.m. and sunset at= 20:45. This Week's Planet Roundup: MERCURY [Mercure], VENUS [V=E9nus], MARS, and=20 JUPITER are deep in the bright glow of dawn. Use=20 binoculars 20 to 30 minutes before sunrise=20 looking low in the east. Venus is by far the=20 brightest with the other three more challenging to spot. SATURN [Saturne], at magnitude +0.6, is the only=20 planet in good view in the evening sky. Look for=20 it high in the southeast as the stars come out,=20 with the star SPICA twinkling to its lower left=20 and bright ARCTURUS about twice as far to its=20 upper left. Saturn shines highest in the south=20 around 11 p.m. In a birding scope, Saturn's=20 rings are at 7.6=B0 from edge on and readily seen on a clear night.
