Deborah Carr spent 7 years researching and writing the biography of one of our great Canadian environmental pioneers. Mary Majka is a post-war immigrant who entered Canada through Halifax's Pier 21 in 1951. Within a decade of making her home in south-eastern New Brunswick, Majka emerged as a visionary and a pioneer within Canada's fledgling environmental movement. Following the talk, copies of Sanctuary: The Story of Naturalist mary Majka will be for sale at $20.00 each. It should be an interesting evening so bring a friend and enjoy the presentation!
