Hi All, Just waking up from a very long day of birding with dad yesterday/today. Birding highlights - in addition to the boatloads of spring regulars highlights included a Connecticut Warbler, a Snowy Egret, Little Blue Heron, and Green Heron.

The Connecticut Warbler and a Snowy Egret were both along the Yarmouth Bar Road. The Connecticut (my first time for seeing one in the spring in NS) may be hard to relocate as even during the time we watched the bird its continual movements through the roadside alders carried it for at least 500 meters and it showed no sign of slowing down. It was working its way steadily towards Overton so with some luck, maybe it will show up at Hubert & Helen Hall's. The Snowy on the other hand seemed quite content to be feeding along a mid harbour grassy strip which also contained a pair of both species of wigeon.

We saw the Little Blue Heron, an adult, in Clark's Harbour ending our search for it rather nicely as it flew over top of us heading for Centerville. The Green Heron was also spotted in flight as it flew from somewhere inside The Hole to the pond to the right of the end of New Road on the Hawk.

We also had 3 species of butterflies and a good list an animals, more details to follow but first, to celebrate the beginning of May I am off to do more nature stuff. - cheers, Clarence
