Hi,

Interesting differences in the sparrow mix in different parts of NS. Here in
the banana belt (the Valley) we have almost nothing but White-throats and
Song sparrows over-wintering at the feeders, with just the occasional Tree
or Chippy dropping in for a visit. The White-throats are nearly all dull
imms., and about now are acquiring their more definitive white- or tan-
striped appearance, with the White-stripers in particular looking very
sharp. They and the Song sparrows have been singing for about a month. I
heard a Swamp sparrow this morning (not at the feeder).
