Index of Subjects A Sharp-shinned Hawk has been doing quite well at our feeders by, presumably, attacking from the East and driving birds into our patio door glass. Although I believe it is the same bird, the incidents have happened over a period of a month. The first one involved a single Junco which was stunned but snatched quickly by the hawk. The second incident involved two Goldfinches; both hit the glass, one was killed instantly from a broken neck but the other survived although it took over a hour to recover (& we did aid it by giving it water & hiding it somewhat). The third involved a single Chickadee which was stunned but picked up & eaten quickly. Maybe the attacks are not as planned as they seem ...... Today on Hwy. 101 just east of New Minas a Goshawk flew across the road & just west of Wolfville, a hummingbird darted across. Which reminds me.....about two weeks ago a person reported a hummingbird coming to a feeder in Berwick. Angus
