Index of Subjects Don and I were looking out the window to see what birds we could see this a.m., when a group of Rock Pigeons flew up suddenly. Then we saw an explosion of feathers in the air. A N. Goshawk landed in our apple tree, sans Pigeon. I think it must have had to pull up short because it was headed straight for the big Multiflora Rose, which would have been a nasty thing to fly straight into! We have found 2 or 3 groups of Pigeon feathers in the yard in recent weeks, so I think the Goshawk has been around for awhile. Lois Codling L. Sackville
