Hi, Paul.

I've seen seals kms inland from there, hauled out on the ice off the end of the Porter's Lake Provincial Park, as thick ice on Porter's Lake was first providing widely separated openings in March.

Subject: [NatureNS] Seal - Lawrencetown Lake

There is a seal currently sitting on the Lawrencetown Lake Marsh ice across from the east end of the Lawrencetown Beach parking lot. Here is a photo taken just before dusk:

This seems like a very unusual location as it is fairly far from where the lake empties into the ocean. Another local resident stopped when I was taken photos and mentioned that the seal has been there since 10:30 this morning.
