Hi All - A Quick Update - I just returned from seeing the Calliope Hummingbird and boy, is it ever an easy, easy identification. Just before I reached the Eisenhauer's place, I spotted a hummingbird sitting on the roadside wires. I had just started saying to myself “I wonder if...” and before I could finish the thought, the hummingbird was so striking that even with the naked eye I knew without a doubt that I had the right bird. The red/pink/fuchsia streaks in the throat were striking. I spotted the hummer at 4:45 pm along the Mullock Rd exactly 700m from Mandy's driveway or about 400m from the feeder as the hummingbird flies. I lost sight of it as it streaked towards the nearest neighbors house. I stayed until nearly dark trying to relocate the bird with Dad but we had no luck in doing so. The bird's plumage looked quite dry so it must of found a nice place out of the rain. Here's hoping given the good weather forecast for tomorrow that it
will return to the Eisenhauer's. - Cheers Clarence

PS In the haste of my earlier post I forgot to thank Ian for his timely confirmation of the hummingbird. So special thanks to Ian.
