Hello Jim and others interested=2C

=20

Here are a few more counts from Middleton RHS.=20

 On 15 July=2C I counted 128 entering the chimney between 2111 and 2135. T=
here may have been some that went in before I arrived=2C but the first ones=
I saw dropping in were at 2115.
On 29 July=2C Bonnie Johnson of Middleton counted 239 entering the chimney=
.

 On 1 August=2C between 2045 and 2135=2C I counted 126 entering: Bonnie Joh=
nson was also there and got about 110=3B most of them entered between 2115-=
2118=2C making counting by 5s necessary=2C so either number could be correc=
t.

=20

Although not a roost count=2C on 18 July I did find a location for them =
new to me=2C far from any chimneys=2C along the Cloud Lake road south of Ea=
st Torbrook=2C Annapolis Co. (346806E=2C 4970347N for those who like NAD 83=
 data). This was mainly a clear-cut regeneration area=2C so I presume that=
they were roosting in a broken tree=2C but I did not find it. At least 5 =
(a family group?) were circling and feeding. A few nighthawks were also dz=
eeting nearby (one booming).

=20

Cheers=2C
