Doug, I appreciated your answer to Tuma on the perimeters of NatureNS. Am relatively new to the list (and Nova Scotia) and spend a great deal of time in the wild observing and photographing native plants (which I also did in Ontario and Quebec before my move). Because I am just at the near-completion stage of a book on the native species of Eastern Canada, from a sexual propagation perspective, my interest in the plants is habitat related, timing of flowering/seed production and of course locating species here that are not native to other areas of eastern Canada. I have managed to find a number of these; but I still have a rather healthy list. I've been reporting my field outings online since 2008 in a series of native species reports entitled "My Bit Of Heaven". The latest, 2010 Nova Scotia "installment" can be seen at: http://www.srgc.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=5267.0 I update these reports on an ongoing basis. My earlier question about finding Rubus chamaemorus (which I missed photographing in flower) relates needing to photograph the berries and natural site. Kristl Walek Annapolis Royal
