We watched a half- grown flock of pheasant cross the road today, about
10. The three foxes are alive and well and entertaining the folks in the
area. Everyone is aware of them and driving cautiously. Visiting the
yard I have my regulars, robins, veery, grackles, red breasted
nuthatch pair, chickadees, chipping sparrow, song sparrow and a
pileated woodpecker . I have many other sparrows and warblers but I
can't get a good enough look to id them and my song identification is
not so good.

Hot and damp in Cumb County today and most of this month so far.

That steal the goose from off the common,
But let the greater villain loose
That steals the common from the goose.
