Hi David=2C

I have a couple of older books on the subject that might be worth check=
ing out. They are part of the "How to Know" series.

The first is called "How to Know the Mosses" by Henry S. Conrad=3B publi=
shed by H.E. Jaques of Mt. Pleasant=2C Iowa in 1944 & 1956.

The second related book is "How to Know the Lichens" by Mason E. Hale=
=3B published by Wm. C. Brown Co. Publishers of Dubuque Iowa in 1969.

There may be more recent reprints about but I got mine in used book sto=
res. They may still be available on line at Amazon or at a used book store.

They both are field guides similar in style (although much smaller) to=
"Roland's Flora of Nova Scotia". They have all the keys but no distributio=
n guides. All the best.
