My previous photo was actually of a frond left from last year. Here is a new
photo of a Pair of Leathery
Grapeferns<http://www.flickr.com/photos/ideaphore/4761940546/>in the
same area just emerging on July 2. So it looks like you wouldn't even
see these until early July.
Further searching this weekend turned up a least a couple dozen. A few were
found growing right on the backside of the berm behind the beach, probably
10 feet from the high tide mark.
