Hi:
The Adult Barred Owls on our property are observed=2C one at a time=2C earl=
y morning=2C 0500-0700=2C perched then descending to the lawn to capture ea=
rthworms. They return to perch in lower tree limbs=2C then appear to swallo=
w the worms. We cannot see their bill move so presume the worms are swallow=
ed whole or just stored in their mouths for transport to feed offspring. W=
e have not seen a fledgling for about a week so expect they have walked/cli=
mbed beyond the area in proximity to the nest.
