I agree with what has been said about this oriole - it's not (sigh)  
Scott's - belied by tail pattern, limited black black on throat, not  
on breast, etc. But, I do believe that it is genuinely yellow - as  
claimed by the photographer. There is a hint of orange on the tail,  
but otherwise I don't think any undersaturated red could be rescued by  
image manipulation.

We've had red Baltimore Orioles before that resulted from  
overindulgence in certain alien garden fruits, and I suppose the  
condition of this one might have been driven by an inherent difficulty  
with synthsizing red pigments, or a dietary deficiency.
