Found out that the windvane is not there anymore, but the moose is still
there to guard the beach...

..........................................

Hi Mark

The area has at least two names: Silver Sands beach and Cowbay beach. It is
where the moose is

Drive SE on Hwy 322 (also known as Pleasant St/ Eastern Passage Road)

Turn left to Cowbay Road at the traffic lights (instead of going to
Hartlen Point).

Stay on Cowbay Road. Don't make turns

Go over the little bridge. Slow down

You will see Cowbay Road sign. Turn right.

At the very sharp turn, you will see a huge wind vane, a parking lot, AND a
moose. That is where you should park. You will see the rocky beach facing
the ocean and the marsh on the other side.

If you google-map "Cowbay Road, Cowbay, NS", you will get a clear map...

Hope it helps.

Cheers, liz
