We saw our first hummer today (Saturday) and it was a female. This is
late for us here in Cambridge Station, Kings Co.

We also have a Blue Grosbeak at our feeder today. What a surprise.. a
new species for me. I almost called it a Indigo bunting until I saw the
ruffous bars on its wings.

We saw our first female Red-wing Blackbird on Thursday (13th). The males
have been around for some time.

Today we saw our first female Rose-breasted Grosbeak. The males have
been around since the 7th of May.

Cheers,
Larry Bogan
