I have had a few inquiries about the long-advertised joint Blomidon
Naturalists and Halifax Field Naturalists field trip walk to Cape
Split, tomorrow. meeting at the Scots' Bay trailhead at 9 a.m. or the
Wolfville Wharf parking lot at 8:15 a.m.

I cannot speak for the other two leaders, Pat Kelly and Lesley
Butters, but lots of BNS people know that my attitude about field
trips and rain dates and weather is just to pick a date and do it,
rain or shine! So I will be there unless something happens that I
cannot get there.

Use your own judgement about the weather forecasts, and I hope that
any rain will be intermittent. Dress for any sort of weather, esp.
wind and cold, and remember that the beginning of the long trail (7-8
km. one way) has wet, muddy spots -- thus old shoes or rubber-
bottomed shoes that you can walk in for a long way are in order, plus
of course binoculars, cameras, field guides and notebooks, hand
lenses, etc., plus something to drink and eat.

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
