May 11, 2010 - Pat Dix saw and photographed at Greenwich a white-=20
crowned sparrow with no tail feathers (?), and, along the Cape Split =20
trail Nancy Nickerson heard and saw a male eastern towhee.

Here are Nancy's exact words re her towhee: "I saw and heard a male =20
Eastern Towhee on the Cape Split trail just after 11:00 this morning. =20=

For those familiar with the trail, as you=92re heading out to the tip, =20=

the main area of spring wildflowers (Spring Beauty, Purple Trillium, =20
Dutchman=92s Breeches etc.) starts more or less on an uphill slope and =20=

continues past the crest of the hill, where the trail becomes level =20
again. The bird was about 50 metres past the crest of that hill."

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
