Tomorrow's call-in for Maritime Noon on CBC Radio One will have Bridget Stutchbury, author of Silence of the Songbirds and now The Bird Detective, to answer questions about birds and her research etc. Then tomorrow evening, she is giving a public presentation at 7 p.m. in the Rowe Building, 6100 Univ. Ave., Dalhousie Univ., Potter Auditorium. Then on May 13 Bridget will lead a very early birding walk at 6 a.m. in Point Pleasant Park from the upper parking lot of the park at Tower Road. After the walk she will be present for a bird conservation workshop in Dalhousie Univ.'s Life Sciences Building in the 5th floor lounge starting at 9:15 a.m. (until 11 a.m.?). If you cannot make it to any of these doings, go to the cbc.ca/quirks Web site for Quirks and Quarks and navigate your way to the most recent show, which was this past Saturday, then scroll down to the last item, which was a good conversation with Bridget about her research and new book. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
