The first Ovenbird of the season was singing this morning. Two days ago (May 4) it was the Hermit Thrush. Sunday (May 2) it was a Yellow-rump. The Hobblebush bloomed on the weekend, the Baneberry on Tuesday, and the Trout Lilies are at their peak now. Today, while waiting for a tire change on my car at the Dartmouth Crossing Canadian Tire, I went for a walk in the bush (what's left of it) behind the store. Rhodora is in bloom, along with wild strawberry and blueberry. Doug Linzey Arlington
