a nest?somewhere along the edge of Jim W mentions Abraham Gesner, who is briefly commemorated in a plaque on Middle Dyke Rd. The Moncton library celebrates Gesner along with a number of other scientists who made significant contributions to New Brunswick. [In my opinion, NS is way behind in this sort of recognition.] Here's a link to a short paper that says a bit about Gesner's contribution to medicine in the Parrsboro area, his study of the North Mountain Formation, and his extensive archeological observations: www.unbf.ca/arts/anthropology/documents/PNBAII-*Gesner*.pdf Gesner was a true polymath, renaissance man, and downright interesting guy.
