At the Mount, the crows usually begin to arrive shortly before sunset in the conifers up behind where the Motherhouse used to be. Around 5:15 these days is when they start to arrive. At that point they're pretty vocal and active, swooping and calling to each other.
Numbers keep building up until just before dark, when the whole group moves down the hill to the trees around the Rosaria and Seton buildings. It's really neat to watch when they're all moving at the same time. One of my professors said he thought there were seven or eight thousand that roost there. I've never tried to count them, but that seems plausible.

I don't know when in the morning they leave, just that they're gone by 9:00 when I arrive.

Does anyone have a reliable time of day during
this period when the droves of crows assemble at Mt. St. Vincent U, and where
specifically the roost is? Do they arrive only around sunset? Are they there
early in the morning after sun-up for a while?
