Ian has given us an account of pigment anomalies in birds. The nomenclature is a bit 
overwhelming, although one can always fall back on the original article in Birding that 
established the terminology he mentioned. 

To save a lot of memory work, I suggest "pigmentally-challenged" (politically-correct, and 
maybe attention-getting too) for anomalously coloured birds, followed by a short description 
of what they look like.
