All:

We were 3 1/1 groups yesterday in this complex and extensive area, and here are
some birds of moderate interest.

Gadwall - 1 fem. in the estuary behind Conrad Bch.
    Merlin - 1 imm.
Wlson's Snipe - 1 flushed from a ditch by Lucas Berrigan
Belted Kingfisher - 1 seen at Lawr. Lake bridge by Rich LePaix

All others were routine. Although totals of some species were better than
anticipated, no Gr. Blue Heron, virtual absence of mousing raptors, no
shorebirds other than snipe, robins (1 only), scarcity of sparrows, winter
finches, were all disappointing.

Cheers, Ian

Ian McLaren
