We invite =20= everyone to welcome the winter season and continue the 5000-year =20 tradition of celebrating the return of the Sun after the longest night =20= of the year; although this year we will be a day early. We will meet =20 around a roaring bonfire at Noggin=92s Corner Farm and set off for a =20 hike through the centuries-old pine and hemlock forest. We will pass =20 an 18th century Acadian cellar, Poor House graveyard and a huge bald =20 eagle nest. We will look for tracks and signs of wildlife, call for =20 owls in the deep woods, and view the stars from the dykes (weather =20 permitting). We will make our way back to the bonfire for hot apple =20 cider and share a toast to a winter season full of light and good =20 cheer to all. Charlane Bishop (542-2217) and Harold Forsyth =20 (542-5983) will be the leaders.
