It doesn't even have to be particularly warm for the winter crane flies =
to
be actively swarming, and I'm sure there are other active insects around =
for
the bats and warblers etc.  And of course after dark the winter moths =
are
now active, no doubt with other insects still.  Jim in Wolfville

Yesterday we had the big dragonflies about as well as many of the little
blue gossamer things we have always referred to as mayflies. By evening
there were a variety of flies and tiny moths clinging to the house and
buzzing about. And Mosquitoes..big hungry ones...
