They have begun to put satellite transmitters on = some of the greater shearwaters which will hopefully yield among other = things, the movements of the birds while nesting and their migration = back to the North Atlantic. Here is the url so you can watch the = movements of these birds. Greater shearwaters tracked from the Tristan da Cunha area: = http://www.seaturtle.org/tracking/?project_id=3D452 You can also check on the Greater shearwaters tracked from the Bay of = Fundy this summer: http://www.seaturtle.org/tracking/?project_id=3D436 And also the three herring gulls that have solar powered satellite = tags and were tagged on Kent Island while nesting. Not as much movement = lately from these three since nesting was over: One remains in the Bay = of Fundy, one has moved down the coast of Maine and one is in the = Chesapeake. http://www.seaturtle.org/tracking/?project_id=3D428 Laurie Murison Grand Manan Whale & Seabird Research Station Grand Manan, NB ------=_NextPart_000_00F1_01CA5330.C8F893B0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2800.1400" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hi SORRY I NOT PLAYING AROUND AND I = SEND ALL THE=20 MONEY + more to HELP YOU OUT AND THEN YOU WOULD HAVE IT A LOT EASYER IF = YOU=20 THINK WHAT I PROMISED BY SENDING YOU THE MONEY THE FAST WAY THEN SORRY I = SAY GO=20 BYE NOW PETER BUT I WOULD LOVE YOU TO BE MY WIFE AND I TAKE THOSE WORDS = VERY=20 SERIOUS so if you think I PLAYING A SICK GAME YOUR SADLLY WRONG BYE = PETER I=20 WILLL NOT BOTHER YOU AGAIN EVER EVER</FONT></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=3Dltr=20 style=3D"PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; = BORDER-LEFT: #000000 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial">----- Original Message ----- </DIV> <DIV=20 style=3D"BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; FONT: 10pt arial; font-color: = black"><B>From:</B>=20 <A title=3Dgmwhale@nbnet.nb.ca = href=3D"mailto:gmwhale@nbnet.nb.ca">Laurie=20 Murison</A> </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>To:</B> <A = title=3Dnaturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 href=3D"mailto:naturens@chebucto.ns.ca">naturens@chebucto.ns.ca</A> = </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Sent:</B> Thursday, October 22, = 2009 1:18=20 PM</DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Subject:</B> [NatureNS] tracking = greater=20 shearwaters and herring gulls</DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Our seabird researcher, Rob Ronconi, = is in the=20 South Atlantic working with a number of other researchers on the = seabirds=20 nesting on Gough and Inaccessible Islands.
