Hi Fritz,

Regarding the flocks of Blue Jays, I've seen flocks in the hundreds many
times in southern NS at this time of year. If the observation had been
from that part of the province I'd certainly say it should not be
considered to be exaggerated. Unfortunately I don't have many
observations from CB in the fall so I can't say whether flocks can get
to that size there.

All the best,

Lance

	Hi All,
I had a couple of somewhat interesting reports this weekend
and wanted to see if anyone had any idea of there credibility.
The first was a very large flock of Blue Jays, in the
hundreds, that someone said they observed. I see large Blue Jay flocks
(dozens) all the time but this seems a little exaggerated.
The second was an observation of a black bird with white wing
bar (stripe) and yellow bill; size between a Robin & Crow: that was seen
only for a few seconds in flight. Aside from a Myna (very unlikely) I
can't think of a match. This may be a trick of lighting but who knows
there are lots of strange sightings this time of year. All the best.
