Peter et al., I think I heard once that Wild Turkeys were
[illegally?] introduced onto Grand Manan Isand, N.B., and that they
are even hunted there? Perhaps Brian Dalzell can fill us in on this,
or David Christie? What Peter said about the historic limit to their
range in s. Maine agrees with what I have heard; however, climate
change plus the very active and widespread introductions by the U.S.
National Turkey Federation have greatly extended the natural historic
range of the turkeys.

Cheers and thanks from Jim in Wolfville.
