For the rare alert this is for the record only.  The bird is no longer ther=
e.  My friend David Walmark had a northern wheater at the Lower Rose Bay Ce=
metary this morning.  I arrived within 20 minutes of his seeing the bird th=
ere and it was gone.  I made a good sweep of the shoreline=2C thinking that=
 it might have gone there=2C but with no luck.  The description fits the wh=
eater to a T.  This bird continues to illude me.  One day I'll catch sight =
of one I hope.

I did see a northern goshawk though.
