On a trip today across to Luke Island there was a very large leather back
turtle floating high in the water, apparently dead but with no obvious
injuries. Its location at 10am was about 1 mile south of Ringdove shoal but with
strong NW winds it will likely wash up on the NE side of the bay. Also
sighted three harbour porpoise.
