The African violet is growing indoors so I am not sure about posting this
here but I thought maybe someone would know what this is. I have a number of
bodies growing in the soil around my African violet. I think I may have
watered with my left over Orchid food. The potting soil surface is all milky
yellow.
The toadstool (?) started out a small, bright but soft yellow, vertically
conical growth with a small bulb on top. I have some photos as it grew.
Yesterday it grew very quickly to several inches high and now has opened and
flattened somewhat to show the spore area. I am curious to see what it is.
Could it hurt a very curious kitty? Can anyone help? there are many other
starts in the same pot although this is the first to develop to this stage.
