With Laura's help I've been trying to photograph the tiny orchids that grow out our way this time of the year, some in roadside ditches and some on the coastal barrens. So far we've found Ragged Fringed Orchid, Green Adder's Mouth Orchid, Little Club-spur Orchid and Slender Lady's Tresses Orchid. There is only one example of the Slender Lady's Tresses Orchid residing on the coastal barren near Chebucto Head. All of these guys are hard to photograph, necessitating this once proud photographer to lie on his belly in the wet moss or mud to see through his viewfinder.

Hans
