Thought this might be of interest to Halifax readers. From yesterday's Halifax Regional Police web report (http://halifax.ca/Police/PoliceReports/index.asp): "Assistance to Wildlife - Two officers and a member of the public came to the rescue of a family of ducks in downtown Halifax. It seems a mother and her eight babies made their way to the Pizza Corner and were in danger in traffic. The officers got all the chicks in a box and the mother was rescued by a civilian. All of the family were taken to Point pleasant Park and released in the wild. A job well done by all concerned."
