Hello All,
=A0
Peter May of Porters Lake (Alps Rd. area) reported that on the morning of J=
uly 17th, he saw a Black-billed Cuckoo feeding on caterpillars=A0 (leaf-rol=
ling type) in the birches around his property. He said he would let me know=
if he heard or saw it again.
=A0
Also, I have seen=A0a Grey Catbird, several times this morning in my backya=
rd! Singing away! I see=A0them only, very occasionally and only one. I have=
 never seen two.
=A0
Also, I attended my 1st birding field trip in Wallace Bay led by Paul MacDo=
nald,=A0yesterday morning. My sister and I truly enjoyed it! Saw many diffe=
rent birds, several, which were, for=A0the first time, for me!=A0A Virginia=
Rail for one and heard, but did not see, a Sora.=A0
=A0
Thanks to the expertise of Paul and Clarence Stevens Sr. and Clarence Steve=
ns Jr. for the accurate identifications of the birds that we heard and saw =
on this trip!
